If something happened to you tomorrow, would your family know where to start?

Most families find out the hard way: searching for the will, ringing every bank, paying for forgotten subscriptions and guessing at funeral wishes, all while grieving. This organiser puts what they'd need in one place: who to call, where your documents are, what you have and what you want.

This is the coil-bound book, printed to order and posted to you with tracking. Coil binding lets it lie flat on the table while you write, and it's only available here. Prefer to type it? There's a fillable PDF too.

What's inside

  • In an emergency: one page to grab if you're taken ill.
  • About me and who to call: family, professionals, people to tell, an address book.
  • If I'm ill: medicines, doctors, power of attorney and care wishes.
  • My will: where it is, who the executors are, gifts of personal items.
  • People and pets who depend on me: what someone stepping in needs on day one.
  • Home, car and bills: what to cancel or transfer, and how to do the jobs only you know.
  • Money and insurance: accounts, pensions or retirement accounts, policies, debts and subscriptions.
  • My digital life: devices, photos and how to set up Apple, Google and Facebook legacy contacts.
  • Documents and wishes: where every document is kept, funeral wishes and messages to loved ones.
  • For my family: a step-by-step checklist for the first days and weeks, a "who has been told" log and an estate expenses record.
  • A yearly review checklist and notes pages.

Safe by design

There are no pages for passwords, PINs or recovery phrases. Banks say never to write these down in a way someone else could use. Instead, the organiser records where they are kept and who can reach them.

Choose your edition

  • UK edition: A4. Explains the differences between England & Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland where they matter (power of attorney, registering a death, probate or confirmation).
  • US edition: US Letter (8.5 × 11 in). Covers powers of attorney, living wills, beneficiary designations and what to tell Social Security.

The book

  • UK: A4 (210 × 297 mm), 82 pages. US: Letter (8.5 × 11 in), 86 pages.
  • Coil bound: opens flat and folds back
  • Printed in black on 60 lb (about 90 gsm) white uncoated paper, matte soft cover
  • Printed to order and sent with tracking. Estimated delivery, printing included: UK 7–10 business days, US 12–14, Australia 10–13, Canada 16–18.

This organiser is not a will and does not replace legal advice. It works alongside your will and helps your family find it.

How it works

Three simple steps. Questions? We're happy to help: see the contact page.

  1. Choose your edition

UK (A4) or US (Letter). The UK edition explains the differences between England & Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

  2. Choose the format

The coil-bound book is posted to you. The fillable PDF downloads straight away. Both are linked under the Add to cart button.

  3. Fill in what applies

Start with the one-page emergency summary, then skip anything that doesn't apply. Tell two people where it's kept.

No passwords, no PINs: the organiser records where they are kept
Safe by design

Everything your family needs, without your passwords

Writing passwords or PINs in a book is a security risk, and banks warn against it. This organiser records where they are kept and who can reach them, and explains the legacy contact settings Apple, Google and Facebook offer, so your family can get to photos and accounts the proper way.

Good to know

Is this a will?

No. It has no legal force and doesn't replace a will or a power of attorney. It records where those documents are, who to call and what you want, so your family can act on them. Section 3 explains why a will matters if you haven't made one.

Why are there no pages for passwords?

Banks' terms say not to write your PIN or passwords down in a way someone else could use, and doing so can leave you liable for fraud. The organiser records where they're kept (for example, a password manager) and who can reach them instead.

Which edition should I choose?

The UK edition (A4) is written for the UK, with notes where England & Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland differ. The US edition (Letter) is written for the US. Most of the book, such as contacts, accounts, bills and wishes, works anywhere.

Can I send it as a gift?

Yes. Choose the coil-bound book and enter the person's address as the delivery address at checkout. It's printed to order, so please allow the delivery times shown above.

How does the fillable PDF work?

Open it in the free Adobe Acrobat Reader on a computer, iPad or phone (Preview on a Mac also works), click a box and type. Save the file after each session. It will hold personal details, so keep it somewhere private, such as a password-protected computer, and tell someone you trust where it is. You can also print it, single-sided, for a ring binder.

What's the difference from the Amazon books?

The pages inside are the same. Our coil-bound book lies flat, which makes it easier to write in. Amazon sells a hardback, which makes a lovely keepsake, and a paperback.

What if the book arrives damaged?

Email us a photo and your order number within 30 days of delivery and we'll send a free replacement, or a refund if you prefer. The fillable PDF has our 30-day promise: a full refund if it doesn't work for you.
