Brand Deal Rate Calculator

A brand deal isn't one price. It's the content, plus the right to use it, plus anything extra the brand asks for. Type your content fee and what the brand wants, and the calculator builds the quote line by line, then shows what you'd actually take home.

Example: a $500 deal should be a $1,300 quote

  • Content: $500
  • Paid ads for 90 days (+50%): $250
  • Whitelisting for 2 months (20% a month): $200
  • Exclusivity for 3 months (an example 15% a month): $225
  • Rush delivery (an example +25%): $125

Quote: $1,300. Same work, priced for everything the brand is getting.

The percentages

Common starting points for paid usage are +30% of the content fee for 30 days, +50% for 90 days and +100% for 12 months; perpetual rights often +100–150%. Whitelisting (ads run from your account) is typically 15–30% a month. Exclusivity, raw footage and rush have no industry standard, so set your own and always give exclusivity a category and an end date.

Then work out what you keep

Agents typically take 10–20% and managers 15–20%, both out of your fee. Add payment and currency fees, your costs and tax, and divide by your hours to see what the deal is really worth per hour.

Usage and whitelisting percentages are common starting points from 2026 UGC rate guides. Exclusivity, raw footage and rush have no standard rate: use your own. Not tax advice.
